Dave,

A great article, a great foundation and a great cause! I'm glad to know more about you, having done a few spinning classes and a bit of cycling with you. Maybe we'll see you on the snow this season. I'm working on some balance training so I can get back to nordic skiing. Best of luck in the new year!

I've worked with Connie for the past ten years, so I knew her before and after her accident. I remember first hearing of her injuries and wondering not if, but when she returned to work how these challenges would affect her. Of course, she returned with the same dynamic, positive make-lemonade-of-life's-lemons attitude as before. More importantly, she's not afraid to talk about any detail of how her life has changed - from bowel function and bed sores to prarenting and finances. She knows nothing changes and life doesn't get better without candid and honest discussions about these realities. She's a jewel in my crown of friends who sparkles with incredible brilliance.
